MTi is one of the leading Engineering
and Manufacturing company of Complete Steel Rolling Mill Plants used
for manufacturing TMT Bars, Angles, Channels, H-Beam and all type
of Iron & Steel products used for construction and industrial
purpose.
Features of MTI¡¯s Bar and Rod Rolling Mill:
- Bar and Wire Rod Mills High-quality equipment, featuring economies
that keep investment at a minimum.
- No-Twist(R) finishing mill assures rounder and more uniform rods,
better surface quality, faster finishing speed, higher production
rates, fewer operating problems and lower operating cost.
- A minimum period of start-up time to full production.
Rolling stands
All components from MTi are designed for
high durability and maximum uptime. The high quality of the components,
and a reliable supply of spare parts thanks to extensive standardization,
ensure we meet or exceed our customers¡¯ expectations. MTi rolling
stands are suitable for use in a wide range of situations. Our convertible
stands, for example, can be switched over from horizontal to vertical
operation at the press of a button. In the past, set up times were
measured in minutes, whereas now production can be changed in a matter
of seconds.
Bar sizing & Straightening
machine
High precision rolling coupled with process
flexibility and equipment durability describes the MTi bar sizing
technology. Based on the two-roll arrangement, various solutions are
available, which meet every need for size, load capacity and productivity
for small, medium and large sized pipe and tube steel.
Slitting and high speed cooling
bed
MTi¡¯s powered
slitters provide highly accurate and consistent dividing. Divided
strands may be finished in the same rolling stands or individually,
for better product quality and tolerance. High speed finishing maximizes
rolling operation over the entire product mix. To meet the requirements
of high speed delivery to the cooling bed, MTi provides the Rotary
Entry System as well as the Multichannel Braking System.
Cooling beds
MTi cooling
beds are designed using standard elements that can be combined in
accordance with plant product mix requirements and production capacity.
The design features cover a variety of applications: rounds from ¨ª
8 to 300 mm, light, medium and heavy sections up to1,000 mm and rails.
Hot and cold shear, saws
MTi offers
a full line of hot and cold shears necessary in a bar or rod mill
for a wide variety of requirements, such as head/tail cropping, dividing,
sampling or scrapping, cutting-to-length. Sawing units are available
for rails, medium-large sections, large bars, and special steel grades,
where sawing is preferred over shearing.
Shearing machines
- Billet/Bloom Shearing machines up to
250 mm Concast
- Rolled/ M.S./ S.S./ Carbon Steel etc. & for Plate/ Girder/ Channel
Rail/ Angle
- Capacity: 75 mm.
Flying shear, Rotary chear
- Swivel Type and Fixed Type
Finishing components
MTi has an
extensive portfolio of equipment to cover the complete range of final
processing needs. From counting to bundling and stacking ? everything
can be arranged for a smooth final production process.
Bar thermal processing
MTi's quenching
systems provide efficient cooling of ribbed products to meet virtually
any worldwide specification for quenched and tempered rebar. Thermo
mechanical Rolling is made possible by a proper arrangement of rolling
and cooling equipment, adequate load capacity in the rolling stands
and intelligent rolling and cooling practices. The result is a refined
microstructure in the product that has superior as-rolled mechanical
and metallurgical properties, eliminating or significantly reducing
the subsequent downstream processes.
Sizes and grades
U.S.
sizes
Imperial bar designations represent the bar diameter in fractions
of ¨û inch, such that #8 = 8?8 inch = 1 inch diameter. Area = (bar
size/9)2 such that area of #8 = (8/9)2 = 0.79 in2. This applies to
#8 bars and smaller. Larger bars have a slightly larger diameter than
the one computed using the ¨û inch convention.
Metric bar designations represent the nominal bar diameter in millimeters.
Bars in Europe will be specified to comply with the standard EN 10080
(awaiting introduction as of early 2007), although various national
standards still remain in force (e.g. BS 4449 in the United Kingdom).
Rebar is available in different grades and specifications that vary
in yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, chemical composition,
and percentage of elongation.
The grade designation is equal to the minimum yield strength of the
bar in ksi (1000 psi) for example grade 60 rebar has a minimum yield
strength of 60 ksi. Rebar is typically manufactured in grades 40,
60, and 75.
